FREE FOOD SERVICE

It is an objective of this district that no child be permitted to attend school regularly for an extended period without lunches.  This parish shall determine in accordance with National School Lunch Program Guidelines the children eligible for free or reduced price lunches. When a child transfers from one school to another, the sending principal should report eligibility status to the receiving principal.  Every possible effort shall be made to provide free or reduced price lunches in such a way that the attention of other students will not be called to the fact that these students are receiving their lunches free or at a reduced price.

The Superintendent shall provide annually to the Board data by which eligibility for free or reduced lunches can be analyzed and policy amendments can be established.
